So the boys had become extremely fussy and inconsolable thanks to major constipation. They had a doc appt. yesterday. She suggested karo syrup and glycerin suppositories. We gave them a teaspoon of karo with their 8 pm bottles last night and then used the suppositories when they were trying to poop. They both got major poops out (I know more info than you all wanted), but I can see why they were so uncomfortable!
Anyways, so today John went 5 hours between his 5 am bottle and then ate at 10 instead of 9. He also played for 15 to 20 minutes on the floor (he's never done that, been too fussy). Luke then went 5 hours between his 8 am bottle and then ate at 1 instead of 12!
They both are so much more happy and aren't throwing up everything either!!
Yesterday they got weighed and measured.
John weighs 9 lbs 2 oz and is 21.5 inches long.
Luke weighs 7 lbs 3 oz and is 20.5 inches long.
They are both doing so good, and looks like we've go the constipation figured out so hopefully we're on our uphill climb to 100% happy babies!
