Harford Fair

So I promised you all I would explain the fair, some of you know me in real life and some of you are fellow moms of multiples or just blog readers. So I thought I'd explain, not that I need to but thought you might enjoy it. Again I've got John in one arm trying to type one handed.
So I'm a country girl through and through, I grew up on a farm. We raised sheep and had some dairy cows, horses, pigs, chickens...you know the regular farm animals, but mostly sheep. I raised and showed sheep for 4-H most of my childhood years. My family got more involved with the fair over time, long after we were all grown up. My dad is on the board and is in charge of operations in the main arena, my brother is the superintendent of the sheep department. My other brother works in the arena with my dad, as did I. Obviously this year I can't do the things I did in the past like scoring for the tractor pulls or demo derby (both very loud events that would hurt the boys ears). John has been helping my dad in the arena for the past few years, he enjoys the truck pulls and such...I think he likes it more than he lets on haha!
So we decided we wanted to go this year (crazy I know). I tried to tell John we should just go out to his family's county fair for the weekend and then if we wanted go up to my family's county fair for a weekend as well, as they don't fall on the same weekend, and we haven't been out to his family's since we started dating. Not my idea, it's just a lot farther to go.
So deciding to go meant some major planning, because we would be spending lots of time there, we decided we needed somewhere quiet for the boys to nap, so we started our quest of finding a camper, which we were successful in.
We'll see how the week goes, I'm sort of looking forward to not having to do any work the whole week woohoo! But at the same time sort of bummed out I'm going to miss out on doing some of the events that I love to be a part of.
