First day back at work...

So the morning started out ok, the boys were up ready to eat at 8 after their 4 am feeding...again slept for 7 hours!

I fed them a little less at 8 because I wanted to go to work after their normal 11 am bottle, but their new night sleeping habits are changing so time we fed is probably going to change.

Anyways...I got a shower while Luke slept in the crib under the mobile and John was asleep in the living room. However when I got out of the shower poor John was crying hard, I felt so bad. I scooped him up and he was asleep in minutes, nothing like the mommy.

I got them fed and out the door by 11:20. I clocked into work at 11:39...I hoped to make it there by noon so things were going well.

John fell asleep in the pack n play. Luke threw up all over himself...hair, ear, neck...you get the idea. But got him settled and asleep in his swing quickly. They slept and/or were content till about 12:30. John woke first and ended up getting passed around the office, I think they loved it just about as much as he did. Luke woke up and was downright fussy...what was his problem...he was tired.

I planned to stay until 3 (they were due to eat at 3 and figured I'd leave when they started to melt down since it's only about 2 minutes to home). Well we didn't make it. At 2, Luke had had enough. So I packed them up and as I was packing up their stuff my boss swung Luke's car seat back and forth...he was asleep in seconds, John fell asleep the minute he was in his car seat. I could have stayed but knew if the seats didn't start moving soon they would get fussy again. Plus they sweat so much in their car seats. Anyways I clocked out at 2:10...yep 2.5 hours.
I guess it wasn't a horrible first day back, but wasn't great either. Let's hope tomorrow goes better.

Today I realized the differences and similarities between the boys can be summed up with one common occurrence....
