Well visit and round 2 of shots!

So the boys had a doctor's appointment today to get weighed and measured.

John weighs in at 16 lbs 6 oz putting him in the 67th percentile for weight. His height is 25.8 inches which puts him in the 67th percentile for height as well. His head circumference is 42 cm which puts him in the 32nd percentile for head circumference.

Luke weighs in at 13 lbs 14 oz putting him in the 19th percentile for weight. His height is 24 inches which puts him in the 9th percentile for height. His head circumference is 40.2 which puts him in the 4th percentile for head circumference.

The boys were great for the most part. Well ok John was great. He was his regular happy go lucky self while the doctor looked him over. He even gave her a few smiles. He's got good reflexes and everything sounded great! He's sitting up good and when on his tummy, he showed her is great form of holding his head up. He also showed her how he loves to sit up like a big boy! He's also tracking objects really well. And since he's figured out how to get his binkie back in his mouth he is definitely ready for some rice cereal!

Luke for some reason was not happy, while sitting with me and checking out our doc, he was smiling up a storm. Once when had him on the table so she could look him over her immediately started to cry, who knows, he's a silly boy. He's got good reflexes and everything sounded great! She wasn't able to really take a good look at his eyes, as he was too upset, silly man. He showed off his great form on his belly too. He wasn't as happy about sitting up, but that was only because he had himself too upset.

Then came the dreaded shots! John cried and looked at me like oh my mommy, what did you do to me. I felt so bad, once I picked him up he was able to get calmed down right away. Luke however, immediately started to cry, even when she was trying to give him the drops, the poor nurse, she felt bad. He had himself so worked up that he needed breaks because he was choking a little, silly boy. Anyways, it took him a bit longer with daddy to calm down.

We came home, they napped and I gave them some tylenol to help ease the pain. At this time John is sleeping peacefully and as always Luke is fighting it.

I almost forgot! Last night was wonderful! By some miracle, Luke decided to sleep through the night! They both had bottles at 8 and were asleep by 8:30, Luke slept until 6! And John as usual slept until 8, that's right almost 12 hours. We asked the doc about it, she said let him sleep, so I'm glad I was worried he might not be getting enough to eat. Luke normally only goes 4 hours so 10 hours is amazing! Let's see if it's a fluke, might be from our walk. We didn't get there tonight, because of the doc appointment.
