John said to my last night "Did you quit the blog?" haha I knew it was time to update!
So the boys are quietly playing this morning, so I'm taking advantage to write an update.
Lately, I've just been posting pictures so I figured I'd make you work for it today and read what is going on in our lives!
So the boys have started Early Intervention for speech, our pediatrician was concerned that the boys weren't talking yet. Not to say we weren't concerned. So the boys have speech therapy twice a week for 2 hours. One girl comes on Mondays and a second on Tuesdays. The boys seem to love it - hey 100% attention for 2 hours - who wouldn't! Plus it's pretty much play, so they don't really realize they are doing work haha!
John says mooo (quite well!) and a pretty good meow as well. He also snorts like a pig - I have no idea where he learned it - but he actually snorts not saying oink - it's so funny. John says "ss" for "CHeerio" - it's close enough.
They both are trying really hard to mimic our mouth movements and sounds.
Luke says dada. And he is the one you've got to watch what you say in front of him, because he understands everything and doesn't miss a beat. Luke says "ga" from grape. And "mmm" for moo - but hey it's a start.
They are also teaching the boys some signs, none have really caught on, though Luke sometimes points to himself to say "my turn."
But the biggest thing - they are expert climbers lol! They LOVE rough housing and just being silly!
The last week in January, John and I went away for a weekend with college friends. It was much needed and we greatly enjoyed it and seeing all of our friends!
A pic from our drive to State College.
We took the boys out after it had stopped snowing and John had cleared the driveway. He left the end plowed in hoping that would keep the boys in, but they kept trying to climb through it. John loved climbing through the deep snow, Luke was not as big of a fan.
So this weekend we were cooped up inside pretty much the whole week. The boys and I made a short trip out yesterday and now we have another big storm closing in for tomorrow! So doesn't look like we'll be going anywhere for the next week or so again.
And if you got snow and/or will be getting snow this week. You can't stop it or control it so might as well enjoy it!
