Behind again...

It's getting harder to keep this thing updated so please forgive me!

On Tuesday, John had an appointment at the hospital to get his hips looked at, we needed to be there at 8:45. I packed the boys up and left the house at 8:15 (the hospital is 5 minutes away), anyways after packing the boys in the car, driving and unpacking them at the hospital, by time we got inside it was 8:35, didn't leave as early as I thought. I checked in and sat and waited for them to call my name. At 9, they called me up and said I had a phone call, I'm thinking who is calling me here. It was the u/s people saying the radiologist was not there today and I would have to reschedule! Oh we tried to call you at home but I guess we missed you....grr! So I leave pissed off and had to pay $2 for parking! For sitting there for less than 30 minutes.

I get home and look at the missed call...she called at 8:48...I was supposed to be there at 8:45. I'm annoyed so I call to reschedule...they can't figure out when the doc is on the schedule again and looks like Sept 22, almost 3 more weeks of waiting. And oh call the daybefore to make sure he's still on the schedule! I complained to the woman explaining I have twins and have to drag them both out. She was understanding but there was nothing else she could do.

So I make the appointment but I'm annoyed and call back to our orthopedic and ask if they have somewhere else I can go. They suggest a different hospital (45 minutes away). I call and they offered me an appt. for Wednesday at 3, but we were living for Pitt, so I declined and got one for next Tuesday at 3. Their radiologist is always there at 3 so screw the local hospital. The woman was great and said they always have someone there during scheduled times, so no worries about driving 45 minutes and being sent home.

I decided I needed to go to work and get some things done, but waited until John got home. The boys were fairly good throughout the day, but figured I could get more work done if I went over without them. I'll be starting back a few days a week next week, but I didn't want to be swamped in work, so I wanted to try and get caught up before actually going back.

I went over at about 5:30 and my boss and her sister were still there. So we chatted a little, but I really wanted to get to work. I had a drawer full of stuff, but I must say I got all but 2 minor things done by 7:45. It was at least a few days worth of work that I busted butt to accomplish in that time.

Then I ran to the store to get a few last minute things for our trip.

~Wednesday

Fairly uneventful - the boys ate and slept and fussed while I tried to pack.
Oh! I got a Symphony in Motion Mobile, Farm theme. Luke absolutely loves the thing! He looked at it for a good hour on Tuesday. On Wednesday when he got fussy I put him in his crib so he could watch it, it put him to sleep! Exactly what I hoped it would do was calm him!

We left for Pitt on Wednesday, our drive out is worthy of it's own post.
